Baseball Lineups of the Future

Major League Lineups of the FutureIt is difficult predicting a baseball team roster one year into the future. So doing it for 30 teams is impossible. Nevertheless these lineups do provide some insight into the changes teams will make.

Some of the rules used:
- players are aggressively moved around to fit them into the lineup.
- thirdbasemen and outfielders move to firstbase in their 30s.
- a young flamethrowing future closer is chosen for most teams.
- players peak at 27 and teams recognize this by demoting marginal players 28+
- marginal starters are shifted to the bullpen when in reality they are likely to be in AAA
- prospects are evaluated based upon where Baseball America has ranked them this winter.
